Summer is almost here! Along with the sunshine, flowers, and lazy days also come great programs and prizes from the Williamston branch of Capital Area District Libraries. With events and rewards for readers of all ages, including teens and adults, our Summer Reading program means there is no reason to be bored, or to spend a lot of time or money traveling far from home.
Beginning June 6, you and everyone in your family can sign up to participate. Come to the library, or get started on your own by printing out a reading log at cadl.org/summer. Great prizes just waiting to be earned include Ingham County Fair passes, roller skating passes, gift cards, and much more.
Kids can celebrate the last day of school with us at a fun outdoor celebration at on Wednesday, June 10, from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. We’ll provide sidewalk chalk, hula hoops, bubbles and much more to help you launch into a fantastic summer!
The Williamston branch of Capital Area District Libraries kicks off its annual Summer Reading program with a visit from Roscoe Orman, better known as Sesame Street’s “Gordon.”
Our exciting performers kick-off on Tuesday, June 16, as we welcome Sesame Street’s Gordon & Friends at 11 a.m. in the gym of the community center. Kids will enjoy music, stories and fun activities as they learn about the value of money. Gordon will also be joined by special guests Sleeping Beauty, Sir Read-A-Lot and storyteller Miss Jean.
